South Ibiza covers the area from Cala Jondal in the south west corner up towards Roca Llisa towards the East of Ibiza. In between are the resorts, towns and villages of Ses Salinas, Es Cavallet, San Jordi, Playa den Bossa, Ibiza Town, Jesus, Talamanca & the small beach at S'Estanyol.
Cala Jondal; One large bay, 4 great beach clubs including Blue Marlin. No hotels, but plenty of villas ranging from practical to opulent.
Around the bay a little past Es Torrent beach are probably the best beaches in Ibiza: Ses Salinas & Es Cavallet with crystal clear waters, sandy beaches, hidden coves, and beach clubs including Jockey Club & Sa Trinxa.
Playa den Bossa which is home to many beach clubs on the long 7 mile stretch of golden sands that stretch towards Ibiza Town in one direction and to Es Cavallet in the other. This is one of the liveliest resorts in Ibiza with a number of beach clubs (including Bora Bora), large hotels including Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel & Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, and Space nightclub. Most of the villas are in the surrounding area few kilometres behind Playa den Bossa.
San Jordi is a small village just a couple of kilometres from Playa den Bossa
Ibiza Town is the capital city of Ibiza. A mix of history, amazing restaurants, million dollar yachts, boutique shops, and Pacha nightclub.
Close by is the small village of Jesus, and the beach
of Talamanca with a relaxed buzz of
beach front restaurants.
Behind Talamanca are the hills of Can Manya & Can Pep Simo with some high-end and luxury villas perched on the hillside with fantastic views towards the sea & the historic old town of Ibiza called Dalt Vila.
A few kilometres away are the gated residential areas of Can Furnet & Cap Martinet, again home to some high-end & luxury villas, but also some more modest villas.
And if you carry on travelling around the bay before you arrive at Roca Llisa you will come across the small beach at S'Estanyol, popular with the locals as this beach is a little hidden and off the beaten track.
Inland is the road (PM-803) between Ibiza Town heading west to San Jose (Sant Josep) and half way along this road you will find the restaurant KM5, so called as it is 5 kilometres from the outskirts of Ibiza Town. Along the PM-803 are many small roads leading to the hills and which are home to some of the most impressive villas in Ibiza; as well as some hidden villa gems that won't break the bank.
