Cala Codolar Beach, West Ibiza

Cala Codolar is a small, peaceful beach on the west coast of Ibiza, situated between Cala Conta (Cala Comte) and Cala Tarida. At around 70 metres long, this part-sandy, part-shingle cove is a great choice if you prefer somewhere quieter and more relaxed than Ibiza’s larger beaches.

Popular with locals and visitors looking to escape the busier resorts, Cala Codolar has clear Mediterranean water and a wonderfully laid-back atmosphere. Sun loungers and parasols are available during the summer, along with a simple beach bar for drinks and refreshments.

Its west-facing location also makes Cala Codolar an excellent place to enjoy one of Ibiza’s famous sunsets. The nearby Elixir Ibiza wedding venue overlooks the cove, so during the summer you may even spot newlyweds heading down to the beach for sunset photographs.

Access is via a steep track, which can be uneven in places, and parking close to the beach is limited. During July and August, arriving earlier in the day is recommended.

Restaurants Near Cala Codolar

Cala Codolar itself has limited dining options, but there are several excellent restaurants within easy reach.

At nearby Cala Conta, Sunset Ashram is a popular choice for lunch, drinks and sunset views. You’ll also find Ses Roques, serving Mediterranean cuisine in a spectacular waterfront setting, and S'Illa des Bosc, another well-known option overlooking Cala Conta.

Towards Cala Tarida, Ca's Milà offers Mediterranean food and sea views, while Ses Eufàbies is located directly beside Cala Tarida beach.

For a traditional Ibiza meal away from the beachfront, S'Espartar is another popular restaurant in the Cala Tarida area, particularly known for Mediterranean and Ibicencan-style dining.
