Beach: Ses Salinas Beach
Ses Salines Beach, Ibiza
Ses Salines Beach (also known as Las Salinas or Platja de Ses Salines) is one of Ibiza’s most famous beaches. Located on the southern tip of the island within the protected Ses Salines Natural Park, it combines soft golden sand, clear turquoise water and some of Ibiza’s best-known beach restaurants.
The beach stretches for around 1.5 kilometres, with shallow water in many areas making it an excellent choice for swimming. From the shoreline there are views towards neighbouring Formentera, while the protected natural surroundings give Ses Salines a wonderfully unspoilt feel despite its popularity.
Restaurants & Beach Clubs at Ses Salines
One of the great attractions of Ses Salines is its collection of beachfront restaurants and bars. You can easily spend the entire day here, moving from a morning swim to a leisurely Mediterranean lunch and afternoon drinks by the sea.
Beso Beach Ibiza – A stylish beachfront restaurant known for long lunches, Mediterranean flavours, seafood, cocktails and a fashionable Ibiza atmosphere.
Malibu Beach Club – A long-established Salinas favourite offering Mediterranean dining overlooking the beach, with sunbeds and waiter service available.
Jockey Club Ibiza – One of the best-known names on Ses Salines, combining relaxed beachfront dining, cocktails and an unmistakable Ibiza atmosphere.
Sa Trinxa – Located towards the far end of the beach, Sa Trinxa is an Ibiza institution. Expect casual food, drinks, music and a laid-back, bohemian beach vibe.
NoHo Beach Club – Another option for drinks, food and relaxing beside the Mediterranean at Ses Salines.
During the busy summer months, booking restaurants and beach beds in advance is advisable.
Visiting Ses Salines Beach
Ses Salines is particularly popular during July and August, so arriving earlier in the day is worthwhile. Parking is available close to the beach, although spaces can become limited during peak periods.
For a quieter experience, walk towards the far end of the beach and continue along the coastline. The neighbouring Es Cavallet beach is also within the Ses Salines Natural Park and offers another beautiful stretch of sand and several excellent beachfront restaurants.
With beautiful water, protected scenery and some of Ibiza’s most iconic beach restaurants, Ses Salines remains an essential stop on any Ibiza holiday.
