Cala Tarida Beach, Ibiza

Cala Tarida is one of the most popular beaches on Ibiza’s west coast, combining soft white sand, clear turquoise water and beautiful Mediterranean views. Its sheltered bay, excellent restaurants and family-friendly atmosphere make it a great choice for a full day at the beach.

Cala Tarida Beach

Located on Ibiza’s west coast, Cala Tarida has a long stretch of sandy beach surrounded by low cliffs and rocky areas. The clear, shallow water close to shore makes it particularly popular with families, while swimmers can explore the calmer sections of the bay.

During the summer months there are sunbeds and parasols available, along with lifeguards and a selection of water sports. The beach enjoys plenty of sunshine throughout the day and, thanks to its west-facing location, Cala Tarida is also a lovely place to stay for the late-afternoon light and Ibiza sunset.

Restaurants in Cala Tarida

One of Cala Tarida’s biggest attractions is its excellent choice of places to eat, ranging from relaxed Mediterranean restaurants to stylish beach-club dining.

Cotton Beach Club sits above the bay and is one of Cala Tarida’s best-known venues, offering Mediterranean dining in stylish surroundings with spectacular views across the sea.

Ses Eufàbies is set on the rocks beside Cala Tarida and is a good choice for a relaxed meal overlooking the water. The menu includes fresh fish, grilled meats, seafood, salads and pasta.

Can Yucas is another popular Mediterranean restaurant close to the beach, ideal for a leisurely lunch or dinner during your Cala Tarida beach day.

Ca’s Milà overlooks the bay from the southern end of Cala Tarida and offers Mediterranean dining in a wonderful seaside setting.

There is also Chiringuito de Cala Tarida for an informal meal close to the beach.

Restaurants can become busy during the main summer season, so booking ahead is recommended, particularly for lunch, dinner and sunset tables.

Getting to Cala Tarida

Cala Tarida is approximately 20 minutes by car from San Antonio and around 30 minutes from Ibiza Town, depending on traffic. Parking is available around the resort, although spaces close to the beach can fill quickly during July and August.

Cala Tarida can also be reached by public transport and seasonal boat services from San Antonio.

Whether you visit for swimming, a long Mediterranean lunch or simply to relax beside the turquoise water, Cala Tarida is one of the west coast beaches well worth adding to your Ibiza itinerary.
