Cala D'Hort is located just above the south west corner of Ibiza and the sandy beach is about 150 metres long, and looks directly to the iconic "magnetic" island rock of Es Vedra. There has been much written about Es Vedra but we are pretty sure that underneath is not an alien space ship. From Cala d'Hort beach you can take a boat to get a closer look and you can snorkel, scuba dive & go spear fishing around the rock. The rock was originally joined to Ibiza but split 155 million years ago, about the time that David Guetta first played at Pacha!.
There are 3 beach front restaurants Es Boldado, Restaurante Cala
d'Hort & Restaurante El Carmen, the latter which has a an
excellent reputation for offering the best paella on the
Renting a villa close to Cala D'Hort means that you are close to Es Cubells village, and the beaches of Cala Carbo a few kilometres up the coast, and Cala Jondal a few kilometres east. The nearest village is San Jose (Sant Josep) which is about 10 minute drive away and Ibiza Town is only a 15 minute drive.
Cala d'Hort, as with a number of beaches on the west coast the beach is accessed via a steep track and parking is limited in summer months...but the effort is worth it...but our tip is to go later in the evening and avoid some of the crowds as during most summer months you can expect to experience an amazing sunset.
