Away from the clubs Ibiza is all about gastronomy, churches and fiestas! Each village is named after a saint and each has their own white washed Catholic church to honour their respective saint, and of course celebrate saints day.
San Rafel (Sant Rafael) is a small village with some beautiful villas close to the village centre. The close proximity to Ibiza Town (10 to 15 minutes) and the beaches (and sunsets) of the west coast make this a great location... in less than 1 kilometre from the centre of San Rafel you will be in the lush green farmland driving down narrow country lanes. 24th October is this village's Patron Saint celebrations.
Santa Agnes is a tiny village with just a café and a restaurant, and roads that are just screaming out to be explored, even if you're not sure where they lead to. It's all part of the fun of losing yourself in the middle of nowhere. Better still hire a bike and really get back to nature, spring is an amazing time to see the beauty of the island. In Spring the spectacular blossom brings visors from all over the island.

restaurants & a church. Patron Saint celebrations are on
Similarly San Lorenzo, located between Santa Gertrudis and San Joan has a church and a couple of restaurants, but only a 10 minute drive from Santa Gertrudis. Santa Gertrudis is a much larger village and located pretty much central in Ibiza, so for many people offers the perfect combination of a cool and relaxed village life with a wide choice of restaurants ranging from traditional to modern, some located around the pretty square with its white washed church…and when you want to a bit more life then Ibiza is only a 15 minute drive away.
