Aguas Blancas - Aiguas Blanques - Ibiza

Aguas Blancas (or Aiguas Blanques and a variety of similar spellings!) is one of the best beaches in the relaxed and laid back north of Ibiza - technically the beach is northeast, a short drive from the village of San Carlos which is probably best known as being home to the regular and, dare we use the word iconic? - yes we'll say it, iconic Las Dalias Hippy Market - with day time and night time markets with music, food and a friendly atmosphere.

The landscape at Aguas Blancas is one of dramatic cliff edges with views along the coastline to the north of the island. Take the stepped pathway (not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties) down to the sandy beach and if you get there early you can enjoy the beach to yourself. There is a beach restaurant (chringuito) and a more simple snack bar.

The northeast facing beach, combined with the high cliffs, means that you will lose the sun a bit earlier than you will in other parts of Ibiza, but then you can head west to enjoy a spectacular sunset, or if you prefer you can get there early for sunrise.

Other nearby beaches include Playa Es Figueral and Cala san Vicente.
