San Antonio Bay is one of the best-known coastal areas in west Ibiza, combining a long sandy waterfront with restaurants, bars, boat trips and easy access to some of the island’s most popular beaches.
Stretching for more than a kilometre along the coast, the bay is a convenient choice for families, couples and groups looking for a beach with plenty of facilities nearby. Sun loungers and parasols are available to hire, while the surrounding waterfront offers a wide choice of places to eat and drink.
Things to Do in San Antonio Bay
One of the advantages of visiting San Antonio Bay is the range of activities available on and around the water.
From the marina, you can take boat trips and water taxis to beautiful west-coast beaches such as Cala Bassa and Cala Gracio. Glass-bottom boat excursions are another way to explore Ibiza’s coastline, while evening cruises offer the opportunity to enjoy the island’s famous Mediterranean sunsets from the sea.
For a smaller beach experience, head towards Es Pouet, a sandy beach at the southern end of the bay.
Sunsets, Bars & Restaurants
San Antonio is internationally famous for its sunsets. Follow the coastline around the northern side of the bay and you’ll reach Ibiza’s celebrated sunset strip, home to Café del Mar and Café Mambo.
The wider San Antonio Bay area also has numerous cafés, bars and restaurants, making it easy to combine a day beside the sea with lunch, dinner or sunset drinks.
