Beach: Cala Vadella Beach
Cala Vadella Beach, Ibiza
Cala Vadella is one of Ibiza’s most attractive west-coast beaches, combining a beautiful sandy bay, clear Mediterranean water, excellent restaurants and spectacular sunsets. Surrounded by pine-covered hills, this sheltered horseshoe-shaped cove is particularly popular with families, couples and anyone looking for a relaxed Ibiza beach day.
Cala Vadella Beach
The sandy beach is approximately 275 metres long and slopes gently into the sea. Its sheltered position generally provides calm conditions for swimming, while a marked swimming area makes Cala Vadella a popular choice for families with children.
During the summer, you can spend the day swimming and snorkelling or hire a pedalo or stand-up paddleboard and explore the bay from the water. Boat trips and other seasonal activities are also available.
Stay until the evening and you can enjoy one of Cala Vadella’s biggest attractions: the sunset. Its west-coast position makes the bay a lovely place to watch the sky change colour over the Mediterranean.
Restaurants in Cala Vadella
One of the advantages of Cala Vadella is the excellent choice of restaurants within a short walk of the sand.
Restaurant Beach Coktail-bar Cana Sofia fresh Seafood Restaurant sits beside the beach and specialises in Mediterranean cooking and fresh seafood.
Restaurant María Luisa is another established Cala Vadella favourite, serving Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed setting close to the sea.
For Italian food, Bon sol is conveniently located beside the bay, while Can Jaume Beach Bar Ibiza is a casual choice for tapas, drinks and an easy-going beachside meal.
You’ll also find Vadella Beach Bar Jordi & Coco overlooking the bay and Nola Ibiza nearby, giving Cala Vadella a surprisingly varied choice of places to eat for such a small resort.
Parking & Facilities
There is parking close to the beach, although spaces can be difficult to find during July and August, so arriving earlier in the day is advisable. Cala Vadella also has a small supermarket and shops selling beach essentials.
The resort is relatively quiet compared with Ibiza’s larger tourist centres, making it a good choice if you prefer relaxed beach days and evenings rather than late-night nightlife.
Cala Vadella is also an excellent base for exploring Ibiza’s west coast, with Cala Carbó, Cala d’Hort, Cala Molí and Cala Tarida all within easy reach.
