Villa Sa Gaia – Stylish 3 Bedroom Villa with Private Pool near San José & Cala Tarida
Villa Sa Gaia is a stylish contemporary villa in the beautiful countryside of southwest Ibiza, perfectly positioned between the traditional village of San José (Sant Josep de sa Talaia) and the beaches of Ibiza’s spectacular west coast. Surrounded by peaceful Mediterranean countryside yet only a short drive from restaurants, shops, beach clubs and some of the island’s most celebrated coves, Sa Gaia offers an excellent combination of privacy, comfort and location.
Sleeping up to six guests in three double bedrooms, the villa is particularly well suited to families, couples or a small group of friends looking for a private Ibiza villa with plenty of outdoor space.
Cala Molí is approximately 3.9km away, while the centre of San José is around 3.2km from the villa. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything required for self-catering during your stay and has convenient access towards the outdoor barbecue and dining areas, making long lunches and relaxed dinners at home particularly easy.
A guest WC is also located on this level.
The villa has a covered garage with direct access into the house as well as additional private parking.

Sa Gaia accommodates up to six guests across three attractive double bedrooms.
The principal bedroom occupies its own area of the upper floor, creating a particularly private retreat. Location – Between San José and Ibiza's West Coast Beaches
Sa Gaia enjoys an excellent southwest Ibiza location, approximately 3.2km from San José and 3.9km from Cala Molí.
This part of Ibiza is particularly sought after because it combines traditional villages and rural landscapes with an exceptional choice of beaches, restaurants and sunset destinations.
San José – Approximately 3.2km
San José, known locally as Sant Josep de sa Talaia, is one of Ibiza’s most attractive traditional villages and the main village of the surrounding municipality.
Centred around its whitewashed church and main street, San José has retained much of its authentic Ibicencan character while offering an excellent range of everyday amenities. Guests will find supermarkets, bakeries, cafés, bars, boutiques and restaurants, making it extremely convenient for shopping or dining close to the villa.
It is a pleasant place to visit in the morning for coffee and breakfast, to pick up supplies for the villa, or to return in the evening for dinner and drinks.
Restaurants and bars in and around San José range from traditional Mediterranean cooking to contemporary international cuisine. Popular local choices include Racó Verd, a long-established village meeting place with food, drinks and live music, Coyote for Mexican-inspired dining, and Can Riku for relaxed Mediterranean dining.
Sant Agustí
The tiny village of Sant Agustí des Vedrà is another charming place to explore while staying at Sa Gaia.
Set around an attractive white church, Sant Agustí is much smaller and quieter than San José and provides a glimpse of traditional rural Ibiza. It is especially appealing in the evening, when visitors come for dinner in the peaceful village surroundings.
One of the best-known dining destinations here is Can Berri Vell, housed in a historic Ibicencan property and known for combining local ingredients with refined Mediterranean cooking.
Beaches Near Villa Sa Gaia
One of the strongest reasons to choose Sa Gaia is the variety of west and southwest Ibiza beaches within easy driving distance.
Cala Molí – Approximately 3.9km
Cala Molí is the closest beach to the villa and an excellent choice when you want a quieter day beside the Mediterranean.
This small west-coast cove has a more peaceful character than some of Ibiza’s larger beaches and is surrounded by pine-covered hills. Its clear water makes it attractive for swimming and snorkelling, while its west-facing location means the afternoon and evening light can be particularly beautiful.
Cala Tarida
Cala Tarida is one of western Ibiza’s best-known beaches and is conveniently positioned for guests staying at Sa Gaia.
The beach is known for clear turquoise water and a mixture of sandy areas and rocky sections. Its generally accessible character makes it particularly popular with families, while the surrounding coastline provides beautiful Mediterranean views.
There is also a good choice of places to eat and drink around Cala Tarida, ranging from casual beachfront options to more sophisticated restaurants and sunset dining.
Cala Vadella
Cala Vadella is a picturesque horseshoe-shaped bay surrounded by pine-covered hills.
Its sheltered position and typically calm water make it a favourite with families, while the restaurants and cafés around the beachfront mean it is easy to spend the entire day here.
The bay has a relaxed village-like atmosphere, particularly outside the busiest weeks of summer, and is equally enjoyable for a swim and lunch or an early evening visit.
Cala Conta / Platges de Comte
Cala Conta is regarded as one of the classic Ibiza sunset destinations.
The combination of remarkably clear water, rocky coves and views towards small offshore islands creates a spectacular setting. Come during the daytime for swimming and snorkelling or later in the afternoon to watch the sun descend over the Mediterranean.
It is extremely popular during the summer, so arriving earlier in the day is advisable.
Cala Bassa
Cala Bassa combines beautiful clear, shallow water with a broad sandy beach backed by mature Mediterranean woodland.
It is a good choice for families and groups wanting to spend a full day by the sea, with restaurants and beach facilities conveniently available.
Cala Carbó
For something smaller and more intimate, Cala Carbó is a lovely southwest Ibiza cove with a more understated atmosphere.
The bay is surrounded by rocky hills and is known for relaxed seaside dining and traditional fish dishes. It is particularly appealing for guests who prefer smaller coves to the island’s larger beaches.
Cala d'Hort & Es Vedrà
Cala d'Hort should be high on the list for first-time visitors to Ibiza.
The relatively small beach looks directly towards the dramatic rock formation of Es Vedrà, creating one of the most recognisable views on the island.
The combination of swimming, Mediterranean seafood and the extraordinary Es Vedrà backdrop makes this an excellent destination for a leisurely lunch followed by an afternoon at the beach.
Nearby Es Boldadó is particularly well known for its elevated views towards Es Vedrà and Mediterranean seafood.
Restaurants & Beach Dining
Southwest Ibiza has an outstanding variety of restaurants, from rustic family-run establishments to sophisticated beach restaurants.
For traditional Ibicencan cooking, look out for restaurants serving local specialities such as bullit de peix, grilled or baked local fish, seafood rice and paella.
S’Espartar, on the road towards Cala Tarida, is particularly well known for fish and traditional bullit de peix, while the restaurants around Cala Vadella and Cala Carbó offer the opportunity to enjoy fresh Mediterranean food close to the water.
Cala d'Hort is another excellent destination for a long seafood lunch, especially when combined with the extraordinary views towards Es Vedrà.
Cala Jondal & Ibiza Beach Clubs
For a more glamorous Ibiza beach day, Cala Jondal is within easy reach by car.
This beautiful pebble bay on the south coast has become one of Ibiza’s most famous destinations for long lunches and stylish days beside the Mediterranean.
Restaurants such as Jondal offer sophisticated seaside dining, while Tropicana provides a relaxed Mediterranean beach restaurant experience. Yemanja is another long-established Cala Jondal choice, known for Mediterranean and seafood dishes beside the sea.
Cala Jondal is a particularly good option when you want to combine a beach day with a leisurely lunch that extends well into the afternoon.
Ibiza Nightlife
Despite Sa Gaia's peaceful countryside location, guests can still reach many of Ibiza's famous nightlife destinations relatively easily.
Cova Santa is approximately 8.8km away and offers a distinctive combination of restaurant, music and events in a unique natural setting.
For Ibiza's internationally renowned club scene, Playa d'en Bossa is around 16.8km from the villa, where Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa host some of the island's biggest summer events.
UNVRS is approximately 18.4km away, while Pacha and the bars, restaurants and nightlife of Ibiza Town are approximately 22.7km from Sa Gaia.
This gives guests the flexibility to enjoy Ibiza's nightlife while returning afterwards to the privacy and tranquillity of a countryside villa.
Ibiza Town & Dalt Vila
A visit to Ibiza Town is highly recommended during your stay.
The UNESCO-listed fortified old town of Dalt Vila rises above the harbour and is one of the island's cultural highlights. Its cobbled lanes, historic walls, viewpoints, boutiques, galleries and restaurants provide a completely different experience from Ibiza's beaches.
Below Dalt Vila, the marina and harbour districts offer everything from casual tapas and cocktail bars to sophisticated restaurants and late-night venues.
It is particularly enjoyable in the early evening, when you can explore Dalt Vila before dinner and watch the town come alive after dark.
Who Is Villa Sa Gaia Ideal For?
Villa Sa Gaia is an excellent choice for families, three couples or a small group of friends seeking a private villa for six guests in the west of Ibiza.
Its location offers an appealing balance: countryside privacy at home, San José only a short drive away for restaurants and everyday amenities, and easy access to the beaches and sunset destinations of Ibiza's celebrated west coast.
Spend mornings beside your private pool, afternoons exploring Cala Molí, Cala Tarida, Cala Vadella or Cala Conta, enjoy seafood overlooking Es Vedrà, experience a long lunch at Cala Jondal, or head into Ibiza Town for dinner and nightlife.
Then return to the peace of Sa Gaia and finish the evening with a drink on the rooftop terrace beneath the Ibiza sky.
For guests looking for a stylish three-bedroom Ibiza villa with a private pool, excellent outdoor living and easy access to both San José and the west coast beaches, Villa Sa Gaia is a superb base from which to experience the island.
