Villa de Bol Nou – Private Sea View Villa in Sa Caleta, Ibiza
Set on a small clifftop overlooking the Mediterranean, Villa de Bol Nou enjoys an exceptional position in the peaceful coastal area of Sa Caleta on Ibiza's sought-after south coast. Surrounded by mature Mediterranean gardens and with no immediate neighbours, this private four-bedroom villa combines wonderful sea views and a tranquil setting with easy access to some of the island's best-known beaches, restaurants, beach clubs and nightlife.
From the villa and its terraces, the views stretch across the sparkling Mediterranean towards the neighbouring island of Formentera. Despite its wonderfully secluded atmosphere, Villa de Bol Nou is conveniently located for exploring southern Ibiza, with Cala Jondal, Playa d'en Bossa, Sant Jordi and Ibiza Town all within easy driving distance.
The villa accommodates up to eight guests across four air-conditioned bedrooms and offers a large private swimming pool, several indoor and outdoor living spaces, barbecue and dining areas, a private bar and extensive terraces and gardens. It is particularly well suited to families, groups of friends or guests looking for a private Ibiza villa close to the sea without being far from the island's restaurants, beaches and entertainment.
Outdoor Living, Pool & Gardens
Outdoor living is at the heart of Villa de Bol Nou.
The villa's 10m x 5m private swimming pool sits within spacious Mediterranean gardens, creating a wonderfully private setting for long days in the Ibiza sunshine. Sun loungers and parasols surround the pool, while a choice of terraces and chill-out areas means there is plenty of room for everyone to find their own place to relax.
The elevated position provides beautiful views towards the Mediterranean, making the outdoor spaces equally enjoyable first thing in the morning, during lazy afternoons by the pool and over drinks as the light begins to soften in the evening.
For outdoor entertaining, there is a covered barbecue and dining area with its own bar and sink. The shade makes this a particularly inviting spot for leisurely lunches, family meals and relaxed evenings at the villa.
The combination of pool, gardens, terraces, sea views and numerous seating areas gives Villa de Bol Nou the easy indoor-outdoor lifestyle for which Ibiza is famous.
Living & Entertaining Spaces
Inside, the villa offers a generous amount of living space, with three separate lounge and entertaining areas providing plenty of flexibility for larger groups.
The bright, fully equipped kitchen includes a large hob, dishwasher, coffee machine and casual dining table, making it suitable for everything from preparing breakfast before a day at the beach to catering for dinner at the villa.
From the kitchen, the house flows into a spacious dining area with seating for eight guests.
The main lounge is positioned to make the most of the setting, with large glazed windows overlooking the swimming pool and Mediterranean beyond. Comfortable sofas, a fireplace and satellite television create a relaxed space for quieter evenings or escaping the midday sun.
A further lounge incorporates a private bar, providing a sociable setting for pre-dinner drinks or a relaxed evening without having to leave the villa.
There is also an additional room with a sofa bed and television, which works well as a reading room, quiet retreat or occasional extra sleeping space.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Villa de Bol Nou has four main air-conditioned bedrooms and is cleverly arranged as two adjoining sections with separate entrances. This layout works particularly well for extended families, couples travelling together or groups who appreciate a little additional independence and privacy.
The master bedroom has a double bed, private entrance and ensuite bathroom, together with beautiful views towards the sea.
From the bar lounge, guests can access two further bedrooms: one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with two single beds. These bedrooms are conveniently positioned close to a full bathroom with bathtub.
The fourth bedroom is another comfortable double room equipped with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan.
In addition to the main bathroom facilities, the villa has two further shower rooms. One is positioned within a charming interior patio, while another features a walk-in shower.
All four principal bedrooms have air conditioning, an important feature during Ibiza's warmer summer months.
Kitchen, Laundry & Practical Facilities
The villa has been designed to work as comfortably for longer holidays as it does for shorter Ibiza stays.
Alongside the fully equipped main kitchen, guests have access to a separate laundry and utility room with an extra-large refrigerator, ironing facilities and generous storage space.
With multiple living areas, good kitchen facilities, air-conditioned bedrooms, laundry facilities and extensive outdoor entertaining space, Villa de Bol Nou provides all the essentials for a comfortable self-catering villa holiday.
Sa Caleta & the Phoenician Settlement
One of the villa's greatest attractions is its location in Sa Caleta, a relatively undeveloped corner of Ibiza's southern coastline characterised by pine trees, dramatic rust-coloured cliffs and Mediterranean views.
The area is also historically important. Close to the villa is the Phoenician Settlement of Sa Caleta, part of Ibiza's UNESCO World Heritage heritage and an intriguing reminder of the island's ancient past.
The archaeological site makes an interesting addition to a morning walk and provides a striking contrast to the beach clubs and nightlife for which modern Ibiza is famous.
Important information – Es Bol Nou / Sa Caleta Beach
Please note that Playa Es Bol Nou, commonly known as Sa Caleta beach, is currently closed to public access due to erosion, unstable cliffs and the associated risk of falling rocks. Guests should respect the barriers and local authority signage and should not attempt to access the closed beach.
The closure does not prevent guests from enjoying the wider Sa Caleta area. Restaurant Sa Caleta, the nearby fishing harbour and other facilities in the area remain accessible, and there are several excellent alternative beaches within a short drive.
Restaurants Near Villa de Bol Nou
One of the advantages of staying at Villa de Bol Nou is the choice of excellent restaurants within easy reach.
Restaurant Sa Caleta is one of the closest and is known for traditional Ibicencan seafood and rice dishes. Its setting close to the sea makes it a lovely choice for a long lunch or relaxed dinner. Specialities include fresh fish, paella, bullit de peix and the restaurant's famous Café Caleta. Its garden, Es Jardí, also offers a relaxed setting amongst the pine trees.
A few minutes along the coast, Cala Jondal has one of the best collections of beach restaurants on the island.
Yemanjá offers traditional Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine directly beside the sea and has been established at Cala Jondal for more than 40 years. It is particularly popular for seafood, rice dishes and long lunches overlooking the Mediterranean.
Other Cala Jondal choices include Jondal, Tropicana and Es Xarcu, making this stretch of coastline particularly appealing for guests who enjoy combining a day beside the sea with a memorable lunch.
Cala Jondal & Beach Clubs
Cala Jondal is one of Ibiza's most fashionable beaches and is just a short drive from Villa de Bol Nou.
The long, pebbled bay is surrounded by pine-covered hills and clear Mediterranean water and has developed a reputation as one of Ibiza's premier destinations for sophisticated beach dining.
The best-known venue is Blue Marlin Ibiza, where restaurant, beach and music come together in a day-to-night setting. Guests can spend the day beside the sea, have lunch or drinks and stay into the evening as the atmosphere becomes livelier.
For a more traditional beach restaurant experience, Yemanjá, Tropicana and the other restaurants around Cala Jondal provide plenty of alternatives.
Other Beaches to Explore
With Es Bol Nou currently closed, Villa de Bol Nou remains well positioned for exploring several of southern Ibiza's most popular beaches.
Cala Jondal is the obvious nearby choice and combines clear water with excellent restaurants and beach clubs.
A little further away, Ses Salines is one of Ibiza's most iconic beaches. Its long sweep of pale sand lies within a protected natural park and is home to several popular beach restaurants and bars.
Neighbouring Es Cavallet offers another long sandy beach backed by dunes and natural scenery, with well-known restaurants providing a stylish place for lunch.
Guests can also explore smaller coves and coastal restaurants around Porroig, Es Torrent and Es Cubells, giving this part of Ibiza an excellent variety of options for days by the Mediterranean.
Nearby Villages & Ibiza Town
For everyday amenities, Sant Jordi de ses Salines is one of the closest villages. Here guests will find supermarkets, cafés, bakeries, restaurants, pharmacies and other practical services.
A little further west, Sant Josep de sa Talaia is a charming traditional Ibicencan village with a whitewashed church, cafés, restaurants and local shops. It is a pleasant place for breakfast, dinner or simply a stroll through a more traditional side of island life.
Ibiza Town is approximately 15–20 minutes away by car, depending on traffic. The island's capital provides everything from designer shopping and marina restaurants to atmospheric tapas bars and late-night entertainment.
The UNESCO-listed old town of Dalt Vila is particularly worth exploring. Its cobbled streets, historic walls, restaurants and elevated viewpoints make it an excellent destination for an evening away from the villa.
Playa d'en Bossa & Ibiza Nightlife
Guests who want to experience Ibiza's famous nightlife are exceptionally well placed.
Playa d'en Bossa is around 15 minutes away and is home to two of the island's best-known venues, Ushuaïa Ibiza and Hï Ibiza. Ushuaïa is famous for large-scale open-air daytime and evening events, while Hï Ibiza continues the party after dark.
Cala Jondal offers a different style of nightlife closer to the villa, particularly at Blue Marlin, where the atmosphere evolves from relaxed beachside dining during the day into music and drinks later on.
For nights in Ibiza Town, the marina and surrounding areas provide cocktail bars, restaurants and late-night venues, while Pacha is approximately 20–25 minutes from the villa.
UNVRS, situated inland near Sant Rafael, is also approximately 20–25 minutes away, making Villa de Bol Nou a convenient base for guests who want to experience Ibiza's nightlife while returning to a quieter private villa afterwards.
