Inside Casa Samara
The interior has been designed around spacious, open-plan living, with plenty of natural light and direct connections between the house and its outdoor terraces.
At the heart of the villa is a large open-plan living area with comfortable oversized sofas, satellite television and ample room for everyone to relax together. Large openings bring in plenty of Ibiza sunshine and create an easy transition between indoor and outdoor living.
Alongside the lounge is a contemporary, fully equipped kitchen with a central island and breakfast bar. Facilities include a coffee machine, dishwasher, freezer and the appliances required for self-catering stays, whether you are preparing a quick breakfast before heading to the beach or sitting down for a relaxed meal at the villa.
The house also provides Wi-Fi, satellite TV and a sound system, together with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Additional features include a fireplace, heating and underfloor heating.

Location – Can Tomas, Ibiza
Casa Samara is located in Can Tomas, a quiet area of Ibiza countryside between San Antonio and San Rafael.
The setting gives guests a useful combination: the villa itself feels private and removed from the busiest resort areas, yet restaurants, supermarkets, beaches, nightlife and several of Ibiza's main towns are readily accessible by car.
San Antonio is approximately five minutes away by car, while the village of San Rafael is around eight minutes away. Ibiza Town is approximately 15–20 minutes away depending on traffic, and Ibiza Airport is around 20–25 minutes by car.
As with most countryside villas in Ibiza, we recommend hiring a car for maximum flexibility.
San Antonio
Sant Antoni de Portmany, better known as San Antonio, is one of Ibiza's main towns and provides a huge choice of restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, supermarkets and waterfront venues.
The town is particularly famous for its west-facing coastline and sunsets. The promenade and marina are ideal for an evening walk, while the coastline north of the centre leads towards Cala Gració, Cala Gracioneta, Punta Galera and Cala Salada.
San Antonio also has a lively restaurant scene. For a contemporary take on traditional Ibicencan cooking, Es Ventall is a long-established option, while the town has everything from tapas and Mediterranean restaurants to Italian and international dining.
The Sunset Strip is one of San Antonio's best-known areas and becomes especially atmospheric in the late afternoon as people gather for drinks and watch the sun disappear over the Mediterranean.
San Rafael
In the opposite direction from San Antonio is the small village of San Rafael, conveniently positioned near the centre of Ibiza.
Despite its modest size, San Rafael is particularly well known for its restaurants. Traditional meat restaurant Can Pilot is a longstanding favourite, while Can Mussonet offers Spanish cooking in the village.
San Rafael is also useful for everyday amenities and its central location makes it a convenient stopping point when travelling between Casa Samara, Ibiza Town and other parts of the island.
The village offers a very different atmosphere from San Antonio: smaller, more traditional and relaxed, making it a good choice for an easy dinner close to the villa.
Beaches near Casa Samara
One of the advantages of staying at Casa Samara is access to the beaches and coves of Ibiza's west and north-west coast.
Cala Salada & Cala Saladeta
Cala Salada is one of the best-known coves close to San Antonio, surrounded by pine-covered hills and clear Mediterranean water.
Alongside it is smaller Cala Saladeta, reached on foot from Cala Salada. Its pale sand and turquoise water make it particularly popular during the summer, so arriving early is recommended.
Cala Salada has a traditional beach restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes including fish, seafood and paella.
Access to Cala Salada is controlled during parts of the summer season, so it is worth checking current road and shuttle-bus arrangements before travelling.
Punta Galera
Punta Galera offers a completely different beach experience. Instead of a conventional sandy bay, this stretch of coastline is formed by broad, flat rock terraces descending towards remarkably clear water.
It is a favourite location for swimming, relaxing on the rocks and watching the sunset. There are few conventional facilities, which is part of its appeal, so visitors generally take water and anything else they need with them.
Cala Gració & Cala Gracioneta
Closer to San Antonio are Cala Gració and neighbouring Cala Gracioneta. These small coves offer clear, sheltered water and are particularly attractive for a relaxed beach day.
At Cala Gracioneta, Restaurante Cala Gracioneta occupies an attractive position beside the small bay, making it possible to combine swimming with a long lunch or dinner close to the water.
Beach Restaurants & Sunset Dining
The west coast is one of Ibiza's best areas for combining swimming, lunch and sunset drinks.
Restaurante Cala Salada offers traditional seaside dining directly at Cala Salada and is known for Mediterranean food, fish and paella.
Restaurante Cala Gracioneta is another appealing option, tucked beside the small beach at Cala Gracioneta and particularly convenient when combining lunch with a day by the sea.
For sunset, the coastline around Cap Negret and Punta Galera has several well-known options. Hostal La Torre is particularly popular for drinks and dinner overlooking the Mediterranean as the sun goes down.

The historic fortified old town of Dalt Vila rises above the harbour and is characterised by cobbled lanes, historic buildings, viewpoints, restaurants and small boutiques.
Below the old town, the marina and harbour districts provide a livelier atmosphere, with restaurants, cocktail bars, shops and nightlife.
Ibiza Town makes an excellent contrast to the beaches of the west coast and the countryside around Casa Samara, and its relatively easy accessibility adds considerably to the villa's location.
Exploring Further
Casa Samara's position also makes it straightforward to explore beyond the immediate San Antonio area.
Head inland to discover villages such as Santa Gertrudis, known for its attractive central square, cafés, independent shops and restaurants, or continue north into Ibiza's quieter countryside and traditional villages.
