San Agustin (officially called Sant Agusti des Vedra) is a small village you may not know even if you are a regular visitor. The village is located only about 2 kilometres from San Jose (Sant Josep) village and close in particular to the west coast beaches of Cala Bassa, Cala Compte & San Antonio.
So why stay close to San Agustin. A villa close to San Agustin will allow you to explore the west coast beaches, it also means that you are close to San Jose (Sant Josep) village, and you can get to the beaches & beach clubs at Ses Salinas, Cala Jondal & Playa den Bossa in about 20 minutes, and Ibiza Town in about 25 minutes (driving).
San Agustin is home to a white washed church (built over 200 years ago, and is the only west facing church on the island, all the others face south) but you may be more interested in visiting the 3 restaurants in the village, as all 3 are excellent. Firstly there is the simple Bar Beri Vell, ideal for full meals, tapas or even just a glass of wine or a beer. Simple outside garden located next to the church which is deal for balmy summer evenings. Meanwhile Can Curt & Restaurante Can Beri Vell are more formal dining places offering a more extensive & expensive menu. Two great restaurants in one tiny village with a beautiful traditional setting for the other side of Ibiza… you won't believe you are only 5 minutes fromSan Antonio when you are dining under the stars. Just outside of the village is the Argentinian steak & meat restaurant Chimichurri which also has, apparently, a choice of over 100 craft beers, although we have yet to try them all.
Ibiza is a gastronomic delight and there are plenty of other great restaurants nearby to tickle your taste buds, ranging from simple places such as Es Verge (on the road towards San Jose) & the more upmarket Cala Bassa Beach Club. Here are our villas close to San Agustin:
